RVR_readme lives again. ============================================================================== IMPORTANT INFORMATION ============================================================================== Riftcast Recut is still in development, but things are moving along somewhat. There's always a little more going on than what I mention here or in the manual, so keep your eyes peeled for any funnies. ============================================================================== INITIALISATION ============================================================================== Upon launching Riftcast Recut, a core save file will be created on launch if it didn't already exist. Some variables will update on launch, including the application's current major update number, revision and the system's region. ============================================================================== CONTROLS ============================================================================== GENERAL D-Pad - Cycle through items. Note that while personalities are no longer visible, they won't change in the process of importing. To do this, copy memory.rvr to the game's save directory alongside MEMENTO.GZR: Windows: %APPDATA%\Roaming\RCR Android: data/data/rvr.gazer.recut/files (Rooted device may be required) IMPORTER NOTES - Most stats, including Hunger, Energy and Age will be reset. - Level, EXP, Birthday, Mood and Bond will be retained, but not Power, Defense, Magic, Weight and Lifespan. - Personality will be retained, but no longer shown in-game. - The species names Mystlaze, Snaggro and Slare will display as Tornarius, Casberos and Gasto instead. - Saves with illegal species IDs or edited parameters cannot be imported - All imported Reverians will have their lifespan set to their minimum for an Adult, as well as always being alt A. - Imported Creslumas will always be female, regardless of their original gender. ============================================================================== KNOWN ISSUES ============================================================================== - The application hitches upon accessing PLAY → TRAVEL → SPECIAL - The active Reverian may quickly cycle through animations while injured/ill - The start of battles may slow down a little, especially if at least one of the battlers has certain, less passive abilities - Rarely the application may just suddenly vanish when clicked - recover with F9 ============================================================================== CREDITS ============================================================================== SOFTWARE - Godot - Aseprite - LabChirp - LMMS SCRIPTS/PLUGINS - Window Drag Demo by sprite~1 - CSV Data Importer by Haoyu Qiu ============================================================================== UPDATE LOG ============================================================================== IMAGO UPDATE/REV 23 - 13/10/23 ============================= - Roster additions: - 44 species added (103 unique, 124 total) - 50 areas added (25 special, 70 total) - 18 tourneys added (40 total) - 14 player choices added (66 total) - 3 starters added (11 total) - 11 invaders added (6 removed, 21 total) - 4 shells added (2 exclusive, 20 total) - Terminus Crossroads implemented (PLAY → TRAVEL → SPECIAL → TC) - A party member can be saved and loaded to file, at the cost of resetting Bond, meeting data (and relationship data with their partner, if imported from Riftcast 1.1 onwards) - The screen is now centered and no longer locked to portrait on Android - Window position can now be reset with F9 - Starting assets have been reduced: - Dubs(money) is reduced from 20000 to 5000 - Basic food is reduced from 2000 to 1000 - Medicine and Bandages are reduced from 20 to 10 - Replaced Derulu with Therogon at Volcanic Grounds - Removed the Revalox subspecies, Volvox and Derulu from the invader pool - Rearranged player choices (Loxaloids → Beastkin → Invaders → Riftborn) - Item Pouch implemented - items found and usable during Ventures now end up here and can be used for healing - Changed up evolution sequence - Adjusted and extended font for most text - Species list (MAIN → OMAKE → DEX) partially implemented - Nightward Hunting (PLAY → BATTLE → MELEE) added - Take on these multi-monster melees solo or with a partner to earn some rare items and increase Rank EXP - Rift Realms added - Extra areas might appear in your area list, refreshing every day - Non-Riftborn species take extra damage and Spirit decay here - Improved selection arrows in certain scenes concerning lists - Adoption and Upgrading added to Alterworks Depot (PLAY → TRAVEL → SPECIAL → STORE → ADOPT/UPGRADE) - Some species can be adopted here, with particularly strong or rare species quick to go - A Puparox set as the active Reverian can "evolve" into Metalox here - for a fee - Species changes: - Abilities added - some species having up to two - Some abilities either don't do anything or have little effect for the player or party members - Attack and/or gender stat dimorphism changes for Galmagus, Ampaloom, Pyradite, Makotatsu and the Metalox/Revalox subspecies - Reduced Metalox base stats by 5, but increased their size (4 → 5) - Reduced Laminero's HP stat, but increased ATK and size (5 → 6) - Vardier and Coludron are now Metal and Electric respectively instead of Light and Earth (not that this really does anything for them) - Changed Teselos' default personality - Adjusted some sprites (specifically E. Some tourneys may be skipped before you even try them yourself if you've made it past certain milestones, however - Enemy levels and gender are no longer static throughout a single tourney - this doesn't really do anything for most of them though - Pressing Up or Down now skips the selection ahead or goes back by 10 - Player/Party changes: - The player character may now vanish for a few in-game hours or days, depending on how strong they are compared to the party, whether they were recently defeated and/or finished a battle/venture - Removed verbosity checks for mood icons - Reverians can now be dismissed from the party - Quest changes: - Delivery quests now pull from your available areas, homeland and Depot - The rank of quests involving a bounty may now be decided on based on the area's rank instead of the species' rank - Poaching quests set in areas where recruiting is impossible will automatically complete the quest upon rolling a recruit chance - Recruitment chances are also increased against the target species - Area changes: - Dawnshire and Duskwick now have their own exclusive areas at higher ranks - Some new areas now have static bosses waiting at the end - Areas from continents not of your homeland have a chance to appear in your daily selection - The (real) time it takes to progress no longer scales with area size - Recruited invaders now retain the level they were fought at - Regional invaders now only appear in certain biomes and under specific conditions, on top of whatever region you're (probably) playing from - Maybe some other things FIXES - Corrected the manual saying the Inventory had 99 slots instead of the correct 50 - Game crash due to missing starters variables after the last party member dies - Certain party checks ignoring the 20th slot - No checks for a full inventory/pouch - Discarding items from the inventory now wipes the slot instead of just using up a single item - Reset menu potentially wiping both save files at once - Relationship data of party members other than the active one not being cleared (not that this mattered for those not imported from the original) -
